Hornady switched 450 primers from small rifle to Large rifle without telling anyone. If you reload make sure you find out what primers you will need. Also new load development for rounds based on the small primer type should be a priority. Boo Hornady, for not telling anyone before or after the swap.

Bear creek is not repeatable sub MOA. Ive experience with 8 of their guns. All 8 were massive failures. Theyre only good for a few years if youre going to shoot 10 rounds once a year.

I have an Eotech XPS3-0 on my 11.5" AR and a Holosun AEMS green on my Tavor X95, to be honest I like the AEMS more now as it is clearer and I find green much easier to pickup than red in sunlight.

Great comparison. Romeo 8t and 4t pro have become my favorite NV optics. My only complaint on the video is I wish you took a few seconds of just looking through the optics statically with NV. I understand you wanted to show the parallax but it makes it hard to compare the raw light transmission performance

Cool test. Couple of things if you want to do this a little more fairly in the future- Get a broadband light source (tungsten halogen lamp with the ir filter removed). Get a VIS-NIR Spectrometer instead of a light meter and measure power at useful night vision wavelengths (808nm, 835nm, 850nm, 940nm ETC-this will test how effective the light transmission is with AR coatings). 3d print baffled tube apertures that match the objective window diameter of the aimpoint t2 for all the optics. Even your baseline without an optic should have a baffled tube aperture in front of the spectrometer. If you don’t want to shell out a lot for a spectrometer try getting a calibrated laser power meter and measure specific wavelength power. If you do get an LPM, get an integrating sphere for more accurate measurements and a fixed aperture.

Just bought a T2 for my NV gun. Probably going to try a aems now too based on this video.

Include a Sig Romeo 4t next time. I’ll only cry a little if it was a poor choice.

very nice video. Can you do a comparison of a t2 vs a comp m4? on paper they say they have the same light transmission but the m4 has a larger tube diameter so in theory it might have a slightly better transmission

That's good for Holosun, considering they are using the AEMS as the base for the DRS-NV and DRS-TH hypbrid optics. Now poke them and get them to release the DRS-TH. :)

Box optic supremacy

I use an aems core. And for a budget option it is really good. I'm not a fan of holographic and the T2 is good but the window is small and the body blocks a lot for me all right around where I want to see. The clarity with NV on the t2 and th eotech is better and that is helpful in forest stuff when you get a lot of splash and IR shadow. Any of these optics won't get you laughed at and will work. Beautiful video! I'm so impressed with your work.

Love these reviews. Which IR lights, lasers and NVG to get can be expensive and confusing.
